Email Design
You can choose from two options for creating your HTML email with Avatar's Web design team; design and build or build only.
HTML Design and Build
(4-7 hours, $120+gst per hour)
If you need a newsletter look and feel designed from scratch, we will design a template for you in accordance with your brief. You may want to mimic the look and style of an existing Web site for example, or go for something completely different. We will offer you advice as to what to include, so your email doesn't become jam-packed with slow-loading (and therefore frustrating) content.
We will design one concept for you and you will have the opportunity to make up to three design tweaks. If you wish to commission more than one concept, additional costs will apply.
Once the concept is approved, our Web designer will create an HTML template page, which is suitable for use with Rocket Mailing. This template, unlike 'normal' Web pages needs to feature, for example, an inline style sheet and absolute links. Absolute links, such as "http://www.avatar.co.nz/contact-us.html" can point to the location of Web pages referred to in your email or to the images (stored on a server) that populate the HTML email. Once created this template can be used numerous times.
We will then insert your content. For example, your text, photographs and links. The unsubscribe link will also be inserted, but only when the email is loaded into Rocket Mailing software.

(2-5 hours, $120+gst per hour)If you already have a newsletter design available, in a PDF or jpeg format for example, we will build an HTML page for you. Again this needs to feature an inline style sheet and absolute links. We may also suggest additional elements to include, that are missing from your design concept.
When you talk to us about your email marketing campaign, we will ask you to choose from these options, if you are sending HTML emails.
Top of page >>Web Site Subscriptions
As part of our HTML design and/or build service, we can also create a subscribe feature on your Web site to help you create and extend your permission based mailing lists. You can view an example of how this could look at the sign up for Avatar News page.
We will also create a 'thank you' page, which is displayed to your subscriber after they click 'subscribe'.
Please note: Additional costs may apply depending on how you would like this to be incorporated into your existing Web site.
